Crystal Buchanan
Crystal Buchanan
To know Crystal was to witness resilience, creativity, and love in motion. Crystal loved to cook, known especially for her legendary breakfasts. Her breakfast potatoes were second to none. Music was her constant companion. She cherished the oldies, danced along to Michael Jackson, and found a deep, personal connection with the raw honesty in Eminem’s lyrics. A poet at heart, Crystal expressed her soul through writing, pouring emotion and truth into every line she penned. She loved her children more than anything in the world and did all that she could for them.
Crystal is the beloved daughter of Pat and Joanna Pirylis. Also survived by mother Lisa Bentley and step father Joe Chamberlain, father Frank Buchanan and godmother Lisa Lucas. She leaves behind her siblings Tim Hartman, Bill Hartman, Angel Beebe, Amber Shively, Erica Commisso, Jesse Pirylis, Michael Isensee, and Tiffany Bender. She will be lovingly remembered by her soul mate Claudio Nunes and their children Isaiah, Julius, Annelisa, Gabriel, C.J. and her little angel in heaven Claudia. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were a big part of Crystal’s life.
Her faith was her anchor. A devoted follower of Christ, she immersed herself in Bible study, found joy in worship music, and never missed an opportunity to share her testimony. Her heart for ministry led her to Camden, where she preached with compassion and conviction, trying to lead others toward hope and salvation. We honor a courageous individual who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever live on in the lives she touched.
Come celebrate 48 great years of life on Saturday July 26th from 10am to 12pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper St, Beverly NJ 08010 where there will be a noon service. Interment will be held privately.

I hope and pray God will give you the strength each day and as you remember Crystal you will feel her love always, know that God loves you all. I will forever miss my good friend her laughter and moments we would encourage each other. I will miss her when she stops her feet and say H*** no…. When Crystal loved you: you knew it and felt it.
We’re so sorry to hear about Crystal. we will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
