CURRENT CELEBRATIONS

Stephen Tompkins

Stephen Tompkins

A graduate of Burlington County Vocational-Technical School, Steve specialized in cabinet making, but it was lawn mowers, not cabinets, that became his true calling. He went on to build a successful and trusted business, Steve’s Lawn Care, where he would cut community members’ lawns. Steve never took a day off, not because he had to, but because he truly loved to work. Whether he was fine-tuning an engine or mowing a lawn, he found pride and purpose in every task. In his downtime, Steve enjoyed watching television, especially his favorite show, Wicked Tuna, and he was always up for a good game of pool.

Stephen is predeceased by his parents Horace and Dorothy Tompkins and his longtime girlfriend Terri Curran.

Stephen  is survived by his partner Anna Mae Crawford, his brothers Michael (Mary) Tompkins and Robert (Susan) Tompkins, his nieces and nephews Ryann (Josh) Atzert, Michael, Marissa, and Taylor, and his great nieces Savanna Trapp, Shay and Rory Atzert.

Come celebrate 59 great years on Thursday July 3rd from 9am-10am at Sweeney Funeral Home Riverside, where there will be a 10am service. Internment immediately to follow at Oakland Cemetery, Adams Ave & Ramona Ave, Philadelphia PA 19124.
