Daniel Kurtz
Daniel “Dan” Kurtz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed peacefully, surrounded by the love he so generously gave throughout his life. A man of extraordinary heart, Dan lived with a spirit as vast and open as the ocean—always ready to offer strength, comfort, and unconditional care to those who needed it most.
Known for his radiant smile, boundless positivity, and undeniable presence, Dan was the light of every room, the joy at every gathering, and the steady hand you could always rely on. He had a gift for music, whether strumming his acoustic guitar or crafting the perfect playlist that brought people together. His love for family, traditions, racing, music, the Eagles, and his faith guided every moment of his life. Dan was also famous for his love of making pickles, he even coined the name “Shady Dan’s Dillys” to pass out to friends and family.
Dan embodied the belief that life was not happening to us, but for us. He coached, guided, and inspired, helping others see beauty and purpose even in difficult moments. He gave selflessly—often to people he’d just met—because generosity was not an act for him, but a way of life.
To know Dan was to know kindness, laughter, music, and unwavering friendship. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared so freely.
He will be forever missed and forever remembered.
Dan is predeceased by his wife Rosanne Kurtz, his son Steven Hoffman, and grandson Steven Kurtz.
Dan is survived by his wife Linda, their children Tiffany (Aaron) Brown, Stephanie (Justin) Soltis, Daniel R, (Jamie) Kurtz, and Maxwell Hoffman, his grandchildren Joey, Mackenzie, Daniel, Savannah, Hannah, and Connor, and his siblings Patrice, Bill, and Dawn.
