CURRENT CELEBRATIONS
Robert Anthony Gubinski
Robert Anthony Gubinski
He was in constant motion. Bob worked for the banks as an analyst (Bank of New York and Marine Midland) and somehow found enough time to start his own construction company, Coventry Woods. He was a master of just about everything you’d encounter on a job site. He was a hands-on dad, present at all of the recitals and dance competitions, and often traveling with his daughters (Disney three times). He loved his grandsons, Alexander & Max, and was proud of all of their many accomplishments. An only child, Bob was very close to all of his many cousins and always kept in touch. Fun times found him moving like Travolta in Saturday Night Fever and doing a great cha-cha; Bob was a great dancer and suave as they come. No shock that he’d meet the love of his life at a single’s dance. He loved Brenda so much he married her twice. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, settled in Freehold and moved to Newton’s Landing to retire and had a lifelong soft spot for dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; his daughters, Christina Stefanelli and Stacey Pinkas (Edan); grandsons, Alex and Max; and his dog and best buddy, Abby.
Come celebrate 77 great years Thursday, February 5, 2-5 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly, where there will be a 4 p.m. service. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Assoc. (heart.org) will be appreciated.
