Harry G. Craythorn Sr

The Patriarch of the Craythorn Family, Harry G. Craythorn Sr., of Beverly/Edgewater Park, N.J. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 28th, 2026. He was 88.

Harry was the son of William and Helen Lavinia Craythorn (both predeceased) of Beverly, N.J.; the husband of Grace D’ Agostino (predeceased), and ex-husband of Kathryn M. Craythorn (predeceased) of Beverly, NJ; Brother of Edwin Craythorn, William Craythorn Jr. and John Craythorn, (all predeceased); Brother-in-law to Joseph and Kathy D’ Agostino of Delran, NJ, Anthony and Mary D’ Agostino of Edgewater Park, NJ (both predeceased) Shirley Brogan of Delran, NJ; Father of Harry G. Craythorn Jr. of Delanco, N.J., Kathleen Craythorn of Delanco, N.J., Michael Craythorn of Delanco, N.J. and Donald W. Craythorn (predeceased); stepfather to James Granate and Traci of Barrington, NJ; Father-in-law of Tim Schlote; Grandfather of Anthony Melke Jr., Justin & Samantha Craythorn, Gracie Granate, Brooke Moyer, Jimmy Granate III, Stephen D. Craythorn (predeceased), Ryan and Ashley Craythorn (both predeceased); Great-grandfather of Anthony, Nathan, Riley, Paisley, Chase and Savannah; and many other nieces and nephews and close friends, Sandy & Bill Ruschetti and Caroline McWilliams.

Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished many memories with his family during the holidays. He loved his sports, Phillies and Eagles. Harry had much of his family involved and inspired them to participate in sports as part of their daily life. Harry was a charter member of the Beverly AC Club and played baseball for the Beverly AC baseball team. Harry was highly respected by all that knew him. Harry was known for his kindness and caring for others.

Come celebrate 88 great years Wednesday February 11, 9-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
