Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Anderson (née DesChamps)

Jackie passed away peacefully Friday, September 5th, at her home in Edgewater Park, with her 3 daughters, Sharon, Roxane, and Pamela, by her side. She was 89 years old.

Born in Mount Holly, NJ to William C. and Alice (Dunlap) DesChamps Jackie was raised in Beverly, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph of 47 years, her brother William L. DesChamps (Vivian), and her sister, Rosemary “Bonnie” DesChamps. She is survived by her brother, Laurence DesChamps, her 5 children, Sharon (Guy), Doug (Sherry), Roxane Blow (Kerry), Pamela Slocum (Robert), and Wayne (Charlotte), her 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jackie was a longtime resident of Edgewater Park. She was active in the Edgewater Park Athletic Association, coaching many of her childrens’ sports teams. In the past, Jackie was a member of the Edgewater Park Woman’s Club and in 1974, she was a committee member for the Edgewater Park Golden Jubilee.

She dedicated her life to raising her family, caring for others, and serving her church. Jackie was a faithful parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church, Beverly involved in the Episcopal Church Women, Bible Study, and Altar Guild, serving as directress for nearly 50 years. Jackie took pride in organizing many successful Christmas sales, rummage sales, book sales, and various other fundraisers. She loved her church family deeply.

Jackie loved traveling, camping, and enjoyed touring the country by motorcycle with her husband, Ralph. In her later years, she loved sitting on the porch with her dog Bo, chatting with friends and neighbors, and watching her great-grandchildren grow. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unwavering.

A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 158 Warren Street, Beverly NJ on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Monument Cemetery, 812 Bridgeboro Rd, Edgewater Park, NJ 08010.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 158 Warren St., Beverly, NJ 08010

    Jackie has been a friend and neighbor of mine for many years. I will miss her very much. She was very active in her church and I know she is in Heaven with our Lord now. GOD BLESS YOU. Please watch overJackie’s Familly during this very difficult time.

    So sorry for your loss. Jacky and L spent 4 years together in high school at good old Wilber Watts high. She was quite an athlete. Also many years at lunch with many classmates. Again, sorry for your loss.
